While Adolf Hitler is often the symbol of Nazi atrocities, the intricate dynamics within the Nazi regime’s upper echelon of leaders promoted increasingly extreme policies up to and including genocide. In the battle for power and a spot at the top of the Nazi Party, Himmler, Goebbels, and Goering among others created and implemented drastic measures of dehumanization, brutality, and mass murder.
