HUMANIZING HISTORY AT SITES OF MEMORY

October 15th, 2024

7:00 PM ET

Our webinars are designed to increase participants’ knowledge of Holocaust history, explore and access classroom-ready content, and support instructional practice to promote student learning and understanding of this complex history and its lasting effect on the world.

Developed by the USC Shoah Foundation, Virtual IWalks are a unique multimedia educational experience that contextualizes and humanizes the history at sites of memory by using testimony, photographs and maps to engage students. Virtual IWalks in IWitness deepen student learning through guided questions, whose results can be assessed by educators.

In this webinar, Sedda Antekelian, Senior Learning and Development from the USC Shoah Foundation and Jennifer Goss, Project Director at Echoes & Reflections will present examples of Virtual IWalks and strategies for how they can be used to further student understanding of the power of memory, place and space.

This webinar connects to Unit 12 on the Echoes & Reflections website.
