As WWII ended, an all-black U.S. Army truck company rushed emergency supplies to an unfamiliar town in Germany. The soldiers had long been victims of racial abuse, but were shocked at the abuse they discovered when the “town” turned out to be Dachau and two former Jewish inmates of the concentration camp begged them for help. John L Withers II describes the experiences of his father, Lieutenant John Withers, and the aftermath of the liberation of the Dachau concentration camp in his book, Balm in Gilead.  In this webinar, he will share his father's story with us.
