CONTEXTUALIZING RESCUE AT LE CHAMBON: SURVIVOR PETER FEIGL'S REFLECTIONS ON DANIEL TROCMÉ

March 16th, 2026

4:00 PM ET

Our webinars are designed to increase participants’ knowledge of Holocaust history, explore and access classroom-ready content, and support instructional practice to promote student learning and understanding of this complex history and its lasting effect on the world.

Hidden child and survivor, Peter Feigl, joins Holocaust educators Sheila Hansen, Lisa Bauman, and Colleen Tambuscio, to discuss artifacts related to Daniel Trocmé, the director of Les Grillons, a children's home at Le Chambon in south-central France where Peter was sheltered in 1943. Daniel, posthumously honored as Righteous Among the Nations in 1976, is one of the individuals Peter credits for saving his life.

This webinar will help expand upon the story of Le Chambon that is part of Unit 8 on the Echoes & Reflections website.
