## THE ESTABLISHMENT OF THE GHETTOS September 19th, 2022

### 3:00 PM - 4:00 PM EST

*Our webinars are designed to increase participants’ knowledge of Holocaust history, explore and access classroom-ready content, and support instructional practice to promote student learning and understanding of this complex history and its lasting effect on the world.*

Why did the Germans create ghettos throughout Eastern Europe? What functions did they fulfill for the Germans? For two-and-a-half years, Jews from all over Poland were herded into ghettos and forced to live in terrible conditions of overcrowding, hunger and disease. Yiftach Meiri, Yad Vashem educator, will lead this presentation.
