HONORING THE SREBRENICA MASSACRE: WHAT WE CAN LEARN FROM TEACHING ABOUT GENOCIDE
July 27th, 2023
4:00 PM ET
Our webinars are designed to increase participants’ knowledge of Holocaust history, explore and access classroom-ready content, and support instructional practice to promote student learning and understanding of this complex history and its lasting effect on the world.
In honor of the genocide in Srebrenica that occurred from July 11-31, 1995, join us as the Educators’ Institute for Human Rights discusses the Siege of Sarajevo utilizing resources they have developed for teachers in Bosnia, the US, and beyond. Many of the lessons come from a human rights and humanities approach, crossing curriculum into several disciplines.
These resources will connect with Echoes & Reflections’ newest Lesson Plan, Unit 12, Teaching about Genocide.
