TEACHING ABOUT PERPETRATORS: HOW WAS IT HUMANLY POSSIBLE?
October 9th, 2024
3:00 PM ET
Our webinars are designed to increase participants’ knowledge of Holocaust history, explore and access classroom-ready content, and support instructional practice to promote student learning and understanding of this complex history and its lasting effect on the world.
How do we address the subject of perpetrators? How can we teach our students to understand the enormity of the crimes committed during the Holocaust? In this session, we will explore how individual decisions contribute to historical events and play a critical role in influencing the development of events in our society.
With a focus on the perpetrators, we will analyze how different actors during the Holocaust made choices, and thus shed some light on the dynamics of genocide. This webinar, led by Yad Vashem educator Sarah Levy, connects to Unit 9 on the Echoes & Reflections website.
