THE COURAGE TO ACT: FORMING A CHAIN OF RESISTANCE

Our webinars are designed to increase participants’ knowledge of Holocaust history, explore and access classroom-ready content, and support instructional practice to promote student learning and understanding of this complex history and its lasting effect on the world.

Students inevitably encounter challenges and witness injustice in their lives, but the key is how they choose to react, resist, and move forward from such events. Take your class on a journey developed by Discovery Education and USC Shoah Foundation, with support from Echoes & Reflections, to meet real change-makers (both past and present) who have gone against what they knew was wrong and stood on their beliefs to positively impact their world.

This Virtual Field Trip explores the resistance effort made by Jews during the Holocaust and contemporary examples of young people. It also empowers students to rise against injustice and embrace their own agency to right the wrongs they see around them—from small everyday actions to large-scale community movements.
