SURVIVING ACTIONS IN THE EAST: TESTIMONIES OF PERSONAL EXPERIENCE

Our webinars are designed to increase participants’ knowledge of Holocaust history, explore and access classroom-ready content, and support instructional practice to promote student learning and understanding of this complex history and its lasting effect on the world.

The beginnings of the Final Solution are rooted in the “Actions in the East '' undertaken by mobile-killing squads who targeted Jews and others deemed as undesirables in or near their local communities. Some individuals did survive and their testimonies allow us to learn more about these incidents from a hauntingly close viewpoint. This webinar from Sedda Antekelian, Senior Learning & Development Specialist at USC Shoah Foundation, will explore some of these testimonies in the USC Shoah Foundation’s collection alongside resources available in Echoes & Reflections Unit 5 on the Final Solution.

Note: This content is not recommended for students in younger secondary grades; however all educators are welcome to attend for personal enrichment.
