Symbols are an important vehicle to convey ideas. The Nazis took full advantage of the power of images, adopting and manipulating symbols such as the swastika to excite and incite a nation. Join Jesse Tannetta, Director of Holocaust Content & Pedagogy with Echoes & Reflections, as he offers historical background of Nazi imagery, classroom strategies on how to teach antisemitism without fostering it, and how images and gestures continue to be coopted to foment antisemitism today.
