THE ABUSE AND TRIVIALIZATION OF HOLOCAUST MEMORY
April 26th, 2022
3PM - 4PM EST
Our webinars are designed to increase participants’ knowledge of Holocaust history, explore and access classroom-ready content, and support instructional practice to promote student learning and understanding of this complex history and its lasting effect on the world.
On the eve of Israel's Holocaust Memorial Day (Yom HaShoah), today's webinar will address how the Holocaust is being misused and abused in everyday references, to the point where it is losing significance. Presented by Yad Vashem educator, Yoni Berrous, we will explore the tools created by the International School for Holocaust Studies to teach about the Holocaust without trivializing it. Join us to see how we can use these new technologies to make the memory of the Holocaust relevant to our students.
