THE REFUGEE CRISIS: CONNECTING THE PAST TO TODAY
April 28th, 2022
3PM - 4PM EST
Our webinars are designed to increase participants’ knowledge of Holocaust history, explore and access classroom-ready content, and support instructional practice to promote student learning and understanding of this complex history and its lasting effect on the world.
In order to encourage students to become engaged citizens in today’s world, it is critical that they have the language and background to engage with current events around the topics of refugees and asylum seekers. This webinar will help educators integrate the topic of refugees into their Holocaust instruction by making connections between the experiences of Jewish refugees during the Holocaust and refugee experiences today.
Esther Hurh is a Senior Trainer for Echoes & Reflections, with over 20 years of expertise in civil rights, diversity and inclusion, bullying prevention, and Holocaust Education.
