UPRISING AT SOBIBOR

 On October 14, 2026, we commemorate the 83rd anniversary of the uprising at the German Nazi death camp in Sobibor. Approximately 180,000 Jews were murdered there – from Poland, the Netherlands, Austria, Czechia, Germany, Slovakia, and France. The murder was halted by the daring prisoner uprising, one of the most significant acts of Jewish resistance in the Holocaust. This webinar will be led by Łukasz Kukawski, the head of education at the Museum and Memorial in Sobibor, who will discuss the camp and the uprising. This webinar connects to Unit 5 and 7 on the Echoes & Reflections website.
