VIRTUAL EXPERIENCES FOR HOLOCAUST EDUCATION FROM THE ILLINOIS HOLOCAUST MUSEUM

Teaching about the Holocaust, genocide, human rights, and related topics is challenging, even without a pandemic. Illinois Holocaust Museum has curated strategies to engage students on these subjects through the universal lessons of the Holocaust using virtual field trips and virtual teaching trunks for the virtual classroom. During this webinar, educators will learn to navigate Illinois Holocaust Museum’s asynchronous virtual field trip options and synchronous add-on opportunities, guided by an educator from the museum, to explore the history of the Holocaust, social emotional learning, character education, and building empathy.
